We know coordinating travel can be stressful, so we want to provide you with as much detailed information as possible. Driving to Pikes Peak Ranch once you arrive at the airport may have difficult terrain based on the route you choose, so please read through this in its entirety to select the best option for your scenario.
General Travel Information
Overall, you have a few options for getting to our Venue based on your needs. Please visit our Lodging tab to view options that can help inform your decision based on where you plan to stay. It is about a 20-minute drive from the town of Woodland Park to the Venue location.

From Rochester, NY
Whether you're flying out of ROC or BUF, here are the most common flight paths to get you to the area.
- Rochester (ROC) → Colorado Springs (COS)
- Recommended option for Venue. Will have at least one layover.
- Rochester (ROC) → Denver (DEN)
- Buffalo (BUF) → Colorado Springs (COS)
- Buffalo (BUF) → Denver (DEN)
- Recommended option for Price. Direct flight options too.
Next, once you arrive in Colorado, here are your driving route options.
*Safety notice. There is one driving route (that usually looks like the fastest option on maps) from DEN to the venue that has a 5-6 mile section of steep mountain gravel terrain with tight curves and no guardrail. We do not recommend this route even if it looks like it will save you a few minutes.
From Washington, DC
DC has three great airport options to choose from, which should keep your travel into CO pretty straightforward.
- Washington Dulles (IAD) → Denver (DEN)
- Washington Dulles (IAD) → Colorado Springs (COS)
- Reagan National (DCA) → Denver (DEN)
- Recommended route for Price. Direct route options.
- Reagan National (DCA) → Colorado Springs (COS)
- Recommended route for Venue. Typically has at least one layover.
- Baltimore/Washington (BWI) → Denver (DEN)
- Baltimore/Washington (BWI) → Colorado Springs (COS)
- Sometimes this has a direct route option, which would be your best bet.
Next, once you arrive in Colorado, here are your driving route options.

From Denver
Option 1: I-25 South
From Denver through Colorado Springs. An easy drive from I-25 up US-24 W until you reach Woodland Park. Then you take a right and head North on CO-67 until you take a left on Abbey Ave. The last two miles from CO-67 to the Ranch are dirt. This route has easy year-round access. Best Option.
Option 2: US-285 South
From Denver, Hwy 285 to Pine Valley Road is paved the entire way and is a beautiful scenic drive along the North Fork of the South Platte River. Once you reach Deckers, you will take a right on CO-67 and then in 9 miles take a right on Abbey Ave. The last two miles from CO-67 to the Ranch are dirt. Roads are well-maintained.
Option 3: Sedalia Route
From Denver through Sedalia, take I-25 S to exit 187 for Happy Canyon Rd to CO-67. There is a 5-6mi section that is unpaved, steep and winding with no guardrails. This route is very scenic and follows the South Platte River. 9 miles past Deckers on CO-67, take a right on Abbey Ave. The last two miles from CO-67 to the Ranch is dirt. Not recommended for out-of-state travelers and SUV is needed.
From Colorado Springs
US-24 West
From Colorado Springs Airport, the best route to take is I-25 N to US-24 W until you reach Woodland Park. Then you head North on CO-67 until you take a left on Abbey Ave. The last two miles from CO-67 to the Ranch is dirt. This route has easy year-round access.
